I came across these young Buddhist monks at a temple’s school in Kathmandu. They are Tibetan Buddhists, forced into Nepal because of the Communist crackdown on religious freedom in their homeland.
These young men were very intent on reading their texts, and did not at all seem interested in our tour group.

A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
