Gamla Stan is the old town portion of Stockholm, with lots of history and interesting sites to visit. It’s also a good place to people watch and get something to eat.
During my wandering through the narrow lanes, I came across a few stands selling waffles — predominantly intended to be take-away. The waffles were beautifully displayed, and I was tempted into trying one (not a tough decision to make).
It was an iced waffle and quite tasty, as you would expect.

I was visiting a friend, and this was the view from their house. I could understand why they built their house facing this direction. I was taken by the beauty!

A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
