“Sam” is located in front of the Cadet Restaurant in Kittanning, Pennsylvania. I used to travel US Route 422 on my way to my brother’s house in northwestern Pennsylvania and pass by this huge sculpture. One time I decided to stop and snap his photogenic self. This statue has been there since 1962 when “Sam” was at a filling station / garage and uniformed as a gas station attendant before the restaurant took him over and added the giant burger in his big mitts.
