I’d first heard about “God Beams” during a great lecture and slideshow I attended, presented by the amazingly talented Galen Rowell. His photography is absolutely amazing– check out some of his images in a search engine.
God Beams (crepuscular rays) are seen when a beam of light breaks through heavy cloud or smoke, most often around sunrise and sunset.
