There’s lots to do in Coweta County, Georgia, this spring, just 30 minutes south of Atlanta. From festivals and farmers’ markets to live music and the opening of outdoor patios, there are so many options to enjoy all that Coweta County has to offer this spring.
Rock & Road Festival
From mountain biking, century riding and criterium watching to soapbox derby racing and music listening, visitors can get it all in one weekend at the Rock & Road Festival taking place in Newnan April 15-16. The event will kick off with the Tour of Coweta County Ride featuring multiple routes in 25-, 47-, 63- and 100-mile rides. For those that prefer to watch instead of ride, the festival happening in the downtown Newnan square will feature live music, food trucks, vendors and craft beverages to enjoy during the fun-filled, fast-paced weekend. This year the event will include its first-ever soapbox derby, challenging amateur racers to build gravity-powered soapbox cars to compete against the clock in a downhill race – the perfect way for little ones to get involved in the fun.
Downtown Newnan Restaurant Week
