(Mark and Sam Cooke, the village publican and his wife)
The ceremony in Westminster Abbey and processions took place in London, and was watched by a TV audience estimated at 20 million, plus the audience overseas. In addition, throughout the UK small communities had their own celebrations, either street parties or in our village, a Family Fun Day.
(The Village Pub, with flags on it)
This was organised by the village pub and included indoor events for children, plus a bar and proper burgers (beef, pork and lamb) all sourced from local farms. A few classic cars owned by local enthusiasts were also present.
