Libby, Montana—City of Eagles

The small city of Libby in northwestern Montana is often referred to as “the city of eagles”.   The name partially refers to the bald eagles that live in the area, as well as steel eagles contributed to the city by a local artist.

I believe this is the largest one — a steel eagle gliding, affixed to a tall metal pole.  A little difficult to photograph, but a work that captures the beauty of one of these raptors riding the thermals.
