Spotted on the Road; 1970 Cougar, Morro Bay

We heard it before we saw it — the deep throated rumble of a powerful V8 engine — as we turned to see the orange muscle car approach.

It’s a beautifully preserved and classic 1970 2-door Cougar, perhaps best known for its “flip” headlamps.  Most had a 351 hp V8 engine, and I assume this did as well.

Turns out the car was for sale.  Asking price for it was a reasonable $15,000.  Tempting, don’t you think?  I think PHeymont would look good driving it.
