Verona, Italy, has one of the most spectacular opera houses in the world: the ancient Roman amphitheatre in the center of the old city, surrounded by the pedestrian spaces of Piazza Bra.
It’s also surrounded by its scenery, which sits out in the plaza around it, waiting to be lifted in by a crane, and assembled for each new show.
