DrFumblefinger’s fine article on the Tampa Auto Museum got me thinking about another Florida auto museum I’ve been to, the Tallahassee Auto Museum. I’ll review it on Monday.
One of the main attractions there is the the Tucker. For a lot of car culture fans, including me, the Tucker is the Holy Grail of cars. There is a great back-story to the man behind the car and the car itself is incredible.
Your homework assignment before my review is to watch the 1988 film,Tucker: The Man and His Dream. Francis Ford Coppola directed it and it was produced by George Lucas and starred Jeff Bridges. While it’s a movie and not a documentary, it gets the main points right. It’s a good film and and even better display of the car.
Don’t worry, no tests will be given and you’re still more than welcome to read the review if you can’t complete the assignment. Have fun, more travel assignments to come!
