I always want a window seat, I always want a cloudless day, I like to take pictures from the plane, both for pictorial interest and because the view from above makes interesting, seemingly abstract, patterns. I’ve posted some of them here on TravelGumbo.
But now, NATS, a company that provides air traffic control services to Heathrow, Gatwick and a host of other airports, has created a cool video simulation of something you’d never get to see: 24 hours of air traffic over Europe. LINK to the page here, and scroll down near the bottom to see it roll!
I believe they have some other videos as well…but I haven’t seen them yet.
