A Russian tourist was recently fined 20,000 Euro for defacing one of Italy’s most beloved national symbols, the Colosseum, in Rome. It’s said to be the fifth act of vandalism to that ancient structure this year.
The Russian man was caught in the act of carving a large “K” on one of the Colosseum’s walls, as you can see in the above photo. Wow — that’s about a thousand euros for every centimeter of the letter “K”! Hope he considers it a good investment.
