While riding in a van from Jaipur to Ranthambore National Park in Northern India, I saw a woman walking away from the roadway. Fortunately I had my camera at hand and was able to quickly take the photo. To me it tells the story of women living in rural communities; working hard as they care for their families which, in the case, means carrying a heavy load and tending to the family’s goats. It is one of my favorite India photos.
Desert View Watchtower, Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona
A visit to the Desert View Watchtower on the eastern portion of the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Constructed in the 1930s, it offers magnificent canyon views and a tie to the Native American history of the Canyon.
a picture tells a thousand stories, Marilyn, and you’ve certainly captured it here
Just part of the life that many locals have on our travels.
Something we often miss by doing the tourist spots.
It’s good to get off the “beaten track”.
