Zhou Zhuang is a well preserved little water town, typical of Southern China, along the Yangtze river. Ancient stone bridges and water lanes connect houses along the web-like waterways and canals. It reminds people of past times.
The town lies between the city of Shanghai and Suzhou and can be a good day trip idea if you visit Shanghai. Using her cell phone, my friend, Dr. Q, took these pictures of the town during our recent trip and we’re happy to share them with friends on the TravelGumbo.
It reminds me of a Chinese Venice! Beautiful place…thanks for sharing.
