Cruising the open seas is always a memorable experience and one of my particular favourite journeys was on the Queen Mary 2 from Southampton to New York. The good thing about cruising is you can pass the time as you please and there are always plenty of optional on board activities as well.
The Champagne Bar is a good place to just chill out in and put your feet up for a spell. We spent many hours there conversing with other passengers and enjoying an aperitif or two whilst watching the ocean roll by. It’s beautifully decorated in an art-deco style with pictures of Bogie and Bacall and other famous movie stars adorning the walls. Some passengers said they spent most of their idle hours there enjoying the comforts. I can certainly understand why!
