Lyft began picking up passengers at LAX on Dec 23, becoming the only ride-hailing service with a permit to do so. Uber, Wingz and Opoli, are also applying for permits, according to airport officials.
Earlier this year, Los Angeles city leaders approved a blanket licensing agreement allowing ride-hailing services to apply for permits to operate at LAX along with taxis, shuttles and other transportation services. The services will pay the airport $4 per trip.
