Nov. 23, 2016: Big Ben – London

Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in London,  but more comely referred to as the clock and the clock tower. A British cultural icon, the tower is one of the most prominent symbols of the United Kingdom and is often in the establishing shot of films set in London.

Big Ben - UsDespite the fact this it’s one of the world’s most famous tourist attractions, the interior of the tower is not open to overseas visitors. However, United Kingdom residents are able to arrange tours (well in advance) through their Member of Parliament. Even though we didn’t get to go up to the top, it was pretty amazing to see and appreciate.
