Genghis Khan’s Gold Saddle in Netherlands Exhibit

Over 200 items from China’s Inner Mongolia Museum will be on display at the National Mikliatry Museum of the Netherlands next month, some of them not seen outside China since Genghis Khan led his hordes of warriors in their conquests.

The exhibition, titled simply “Genghis,” opens February 17th and will continue until August 27th. The Golden Saddle is a key piece of the exhibit, which tells the story of one of the largest empires ever from a military perspective. 

In addition, the museum also has its permanent collection, presenting the role of the armed forces in Netherlands history and present; the huge presentation includes aircraft, tanks and helicopters.
