Icelandair’s latest themed plane is not only named for a glacier, it’s painted to look like one and the interior is designed to give the feel of an ice cave. Only without freezing the passengers.
The interior features on the Vatnajökull 757 include LED blue lighting; special turquoise and white headrests, themed napkins, cups and chocolates and even glacier-themed lavatories and airsick bags.
The airline has 13 U.S. destinations; so far the special plane has been spotted in Seattle and Orlando. The airline has also posted a video of the transformation of the plane, a 24-day effort by a team of artists that’s decorated other Icelandair planes in the past.
