For a long time Cuba has been the must-visit destination for fans of classic cars, particularly American ones from the 1940s and 50s. The photos here are from a trip we undertook last year. The shot above was taken at traffic lights near Havana’s Capitolio. Every car in the shot is from before the revolution.
Just around the corner from there is a square where you can hire open-top limousines for a city tour. As you can see below, there is quite a choice – particularly if pink is your colour.
Near the main ocean boulevard – the Malecon – we came across a number of parking areas that contained only classic cars, most of them taxis.
You will also find quite a few nice ones parked near Havana’s Hotel Nacional.
Our trip involved a stay in Cuba’s keys as well. The two final shots are from there – more specifically, from Cayo Guillermo.
Beautiful cars, Professor! Thanks for sharing these.
