Yet another Game of Thrones tourism link

The new season of Game of Thrones used locations in three regions of Spain last fall and winter, and tourism offices in all three are ready for a new wave of fans seeking out the scenes.

The search is made easier with by Google’s StreetView, which has compiled a whole page of photo links to the sites. You can also find a guide at TheLocal.es

Spain is not alone in benefiting from Game of Thrones; Northern Ireland was also a recent filming site and is promoting itself with an immense Game of Thrones tapestry, described last week in TravelGumbo.

The cross-promotion of tourism and popular features is, of course, nothing new; American fascination with Paris owes a lot to a long string of romantic films set there, and Heidi has certainly shaped many people’s view of Switzerland. And recently, the highly-popular Disney film Frozen has created a frenzy of interest in Norway.
