Old Town is an outdoor shopping mall and amusement park in Kissimmee, Florida. It’s a recreation of an old Florida town. It’s been operating since 1986. Every weekend, they have muscle and classic cars and trucks throughout Old Town. On Friday night they have a Muscle Car Cruise and on Saturday night they have a Classic Car Cruise.
The charm of Old Town is it’s not polished or very crowded, like most of theme parks in the Orlando area. Rides, souvenirs and food are pretty inexpensive.
DrFumblefinger explores the architecture in “Downtown Casablanca”. Most were constructed in the period between WWI and WWII, and show art deco and art nouveau features combined with Moroccan/Moorish features.
A delicious lunch was capped by a pleasant young Berber girl pouring mint tea for us.
