One of the most dramatic peaks in Alberta’s Rocky mountains is Crowsnest Mountain, situated in southwest Alberta. Partially I think it’s because the mountain seems to stand alone in a large valley. It’s shape is appealing and I study it every time I drive by.
I was traveling from Spokane to Calgary one evening just as the sun was setting. The light was soft and lovely, and I was able to see Seven Sisters mountain immediately behind it (Seven Sisters is hidden by the bulk of Crowsnest Mountain from most points of view).
I thought it worthwhile to stop for a photo or two.
