Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport has regained the crown it lost four years ago, and is once again the world’s busiest airport by passenger movements, beating out Atlanta, which has held the title for the past few years.
In the FAA’s 2018 rankings, Chicago pushed Atlanta into second place with 903,000 arrivals and departures to 895,000. The others in the domestic Top Five were LAX at Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth and Denver.
At the international level, Chicago and Atlanta are both still in it, but the rest of the Top Five are all overseas: Beijing Capital Airport, Dubai, and Tokyo Haneda.
