My husband and I had a great trip to New York City last December. It was amazing to see the city all decked out for Christmas. However one of the things that touched me a lot was seeing this little boy feeding what he called “his birds”. He seemed to know them and they definitely liked him. 
We stood around watching him for a while as the birds would scatter when someone came rushing through. However, a minute or two they were back looking for more food. I don’t know how often this little boy is out there taking care of “his birds”, but it definitely intrigued us for a few minutes as we were on our way to see the Brooklyn Bridge.
