This is the second and final installment featuring cars I enjoyed from my visit to the Celebrity Car Museum in Branson, Missouri. My first post on this site discussed the background of the museum, so we’ll get right into looking some more cars, like the dramatically modified VW-based Shala-Vette shown above, featured in the movie Deathrace 2000.
While it’s not pretty, every fan of Breaking Bad will recognize this beat-up 1992 Buick Century, which belonged to Mike.
A pretty purple 1967 Pontiac GTO was modified for the 2002 Van Diesel hit film, “XXX“.
Fans of the TV series Supernatural will recognize this 1967 Chevrolet Impala as belonging to Dean. The car in the show is nicknamed “Baby” and was inherited from Dean’s father.
These modified SUVs were used in the recent hit film, Logan.
Two cars from the popular series, the Transformers, the yellow 1976 Chevrolet Camaro (Bumble Bee) in the top photo, and the 2005 Mustang conversion (Barricuda) below.
While not a film celebrity, the 1960 Cadillac Limousine shown below played a role during a sad moment in American history. It was the car used by Jackie and Robert F Kennedy during President John Kennedy’s funeral procession in 1963.
Fans of the popular TV series, Walking Dead, will recognize Daryl’s motorcycle, a customized Yamaha XV920.
Batmobile and police cruiser form Batman Returns. Not sure if the Batmobile actually works, or whether it is just a shell used in the film.
A beautiful 1969 Dodge Charger 440 from Fast & Furious 4. It is one of ten Fast and Furious cars on display in the Velvet collection.
This 1976 Lincoln Mark IV was one of many cars that Elvis Presley gave away as gifts in his life time. This particular car was given to Dr. Gerald Stanley. Lincolns were very popular when I was growing up and, as I recall, got about 8 mpg.
One of the more unusual cars in the collection is this lime-green customized Honda Prelude lowrider, once the ride for boxing champ Oscar de la Hoya.
Always popular, the Back to the Future DeLorean, one of many made….
One of the more comical vehicles in the collection is this 1984 Ford Econoline van from the film Dumb and Dumber.
And one last car for you, from National Lampoon’s Vacation a customized 1984 Ford Crown Victoria Wagon.
The museum is home to an interesting and diverse collection of cars, and if vehicles with a tie-in to popular films and television interest you, this is a recommended stop when visiting Branson.
