London has been named the world’s top city for vegans, according to a well-known vegan restaurant guide, the Happy Cow. “Veganism continues to become a mainstream lifestyle in London and this city takes veganism to a new level,” according to Ken Spector, co-author of the Happy Cow list.
It’s London’s second year in a row at number one. Other cities in the top ten include Berlin, New York and Los Angeles, and a newcomer to the top, Bangkok.
Aside from the plant-based cheese shop in the title image, London boasts over 125 fully-vegan restaurants and food shops featuring, among others, pizzerias, “fried chicken” parlors and “sushi” joints. There’s even a vegan hair salon.
