Japan Airlines is giving away round-trip tickets for domestic flights next summer, offering up to 50,000 pairs of tickets to international visitors to Japan. You can put in your bid for them starting in late February.
The catch (of course there’s a catch!) is that you don’t get to choose the exact destination, you have to be a member of JAL’s Mileage Bank loyalty program, you have to live outside Japan and you have to be able to take the free flights between July1 and September 30. Applications will be emailed to all eligible Mileage Bank members.
The application process will show a choice of four possible destinations; if none appeal, you can see another group of four. You’ll also have to pick from a list of dates and times. Once you apply, JAL will confirm within three days and tell you where you are going. All the trips originate from Tokyo or Osaka.
