Three more free days in U.S. National Parks

If you missed last Wednesday’s freebie across America’s National Parks, you still have three more coming this year, including one later this month, on August 25.

The Park Service usually has about a week’s worth of free days, celebrating a variety of occasions, and encouraging visitors to get a bigger taste of the National Parks, not all of which have admission charges. August 4 was Great American Outdoors Day, celebrating the one-year anniversary of legislation earmarking serious catch-up money for the financially-strapped park system.

The remaining days this year, besides August 25, are September 25, which is National Public Lands Day and November 11, Veterans Day.
