Twofer toll sale on Scandinavian bridge

Airlines and railroads do it, why not a bridge?

The Oresund Bridge, which links Copenhagen to its Swedish neighbor Malmo, is offering a two-for-one deal on tolls through November 30th, in hopes of pushing traffic back up to pre-pandemic levels. One measure of the need: bookings in Danish hotels by Swedes have dropped 91% and Danish bookings in the Swedish Skane area have dropped 81% compared to 2019.

Promotion for the offer is using slogans like ‘make a crossing, get a crossing’ and using the Danish hashtag #detsombinderossammen, which loosely translates to ‘that which binds us together.’ Travelers who have the bridge’s BroPass will be credited in their accounts for the free crossings.
