Holland’s Keukenhof Gardens aren’t the only spectacular tulip display returning to public view after a pandemic hiatus: Springtime at Ananda, north of Nevada City, California is back, too, with over 17,000 tulips of 90 varieties in bloom.
The gardens at Ananda are open every day in April from 10 am to 5 pm, offering visitors a chance to explore the upper terraced gardens and follow the meandering paths by pools, waterfalls, statuary, and the chapel inspired by the Little Church of St. Francis in Assisi.
Lunch is available for visitors at the Expanding Light Retreat, which also offers overnight accommodations with advanced reservations. Tickets for Springtime at Ananda are $10 weekdays and $12 weekends.
