Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day will be back on September 17, offering free access to dozens of museums across the country. Tickets can be downloaded from the magazine’s website, one per email, but good for two visitors.
The list of participating museums and sites isn’t complete yet, but among those already signed up are a wide variety, including Baltimore’s Museum of Industry, the Hudson River Museum, Michigan Maritime Museum and more. The list is posted here, but keep checking for updates.
This year’s theme is The American Experience, shining “a spotlight on wonderful arts, culture, sciences, innovation and history exhibits across the country.” Smithsonian Magazine has been sponsoring the program for 18 years.
