I’ve visited Vienna four or five times over the past 30 years, and each trip has included a visit to the famous Naschmarkt, a nearly mile-long string of small shops and stalls just beyond the Ringstrasse that marks the city’s former walls.
Over that time, I’ve seen the market take on more restaurants, specialty food dealers and yes, souvenir sellers. As in many cities, the rise of supermarkets has changed the role of traditional food markets, especially those in central areas.
However I may feel about those changes, one thing remains, always: Color. Here I’ve selected an assortment of some of the most colorful of this year’s images.
Beautiful photography!
