A Crowd Pleaser in Brussels

One of the most popular tourist spots in Brussels is the statue of a young boy urinating.  The piece is called “Manneken-Pis”; I was surprised at how tiny it was when I first saw it. Manneken-Pis reflects the humor of the city’s residents (as does their love of comics). You can read more about Manneken-Pis, his history, extensive wardrobe and so on at this link if you are interested.

They were beautiful creatures, pulling a beer wagon. A stunt from a local brewery, I’m sure, not unlike the Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales.
