A Mallard in St James Park

 

Last spring, while visiting Art Nouveau buildings in London, my route took me across St James Park, a green oasis near Buckingham Palace with beautiful trees and shrubs—and a pond inhabited by a number of colorful ducks and other birds.

One in particular put on quite a show of flexibility and flash, and I stopped to watch and record.

For those with a more restrained taste, yes, the greylag geese were there, too.
