I’m especially fond of horiatiki, the classic Greek village salad; on a two-week trip to Greece, I ate it at nearly every meal.
This one, from Molyvos restaurant in New York, is one of my favorites. Beautifully presented, and containing all the necessary ingredients and no more: tomato, sliced cucumber, green pepper, sliced red onion, Kalamata olives or green olives and of course feta cheese.
We are in Greece at the moment. I suspect you paid more for yours than we are paying here.
