Airbus Puts in Patent for Stacked Seating

Airbus filed a patent that has stacked seating in the design with the European Patent Office.  An Airbus spokesperson said: “This does not mean they are necessarily going to be adopted into an aircraft design. This preserves the innovation and idea.” Airbus told Telegraph Travel the patent is one of several hundred the company files each year.

Airbus said the designs could be used on other forms of transport, too, including buses and trains.
