Amsterdam to host WorldPride in 2026

The 2026 WorldPride celebration will be held in Amsterdam, it was announced last week, the first time the event has been hosted there. The city beat out runner-up Orlando for the designation.

The event is celebrated every two or three years to highlight the LGBTQ community and to highlight equal rights for the community. Organizers expect hundreds of thousands to take part.

The next WorldPride celebration is scheduled for next year in Sydney, Australia.
