Bangkok Airport apologizes for Snake found on Luggage Cart

Bangkok’s main airport, Suvarnabhumi International Airport, formally apologized after a snake was found on a luggage cart in the arrival hall.  Passengers were understandably surprised and concerned.  Turns out the airport was built on land previously called, “Cobra Swamp”.

The snake was coiled around the base of the baggage trolley and was noticed by a traveler after she had placed bags onto it.  Security officers captured the snake and, fortunately, no one was hurt.  The snake was described as a “baby snake”, but no species was provided.  It is thought that the snake managed to sneak into the airport because of its diminutive size.
