Qantas is the latest airline to offer bidding for airline upgrades . Their product, Bidding Now Upgrades , gives frequent fliers the option of bidding for upgrades using points and cash. It’s now available by invitation only and eligible buyers will receive notice of the bidding 7 days prior to the flight . Then, 24 hours prior to the flight, Qantas will tell the bidder whether their offer was accepted or not.
