If those three seem like an unusual combination...well, not so much.

This is the season when many merchants, including online, and including travel providers, are having attractives sales. That includes our affiliates such as Amazon.com, Booking.com, Priceline.com and Expedia.com.

When you use the links on our page, the merchant knows that "Gumbo sent me!" and Gumbo gets a small commission on the sales. It's our only outside income.

So, as you shop for seasonal bargains—or anything else—keep us in mind and use our links.
