Brazilian Regulation results in higher ticket prices

Brazilian airlines have lots of government regulations they have to comply with. Some of these seem great, like the ability to check two 70 lb bags for free, but they come with a cost (heavier, less fuel efficient planes). Brazilian airlines are having to raise ticket prices to survive.
