Last week my hometown, Bowral, in New South Wales, played host to a spot of Regency-era romance to celebrate the upcoming season three of Shondaland’s hit series Bridgerton.
The celebration practically took over the town with a Netflix team arranging numerous shop makeovers, Bridgerton-inspired menus, writing workshops, croquet competitions and more.
The week-long celebration culminated in an extravagant Regency-themed garden party, held at country house hotel, Milton Park, and then advance screenings of the first episode of Bridgerton season three at Bowral’s own Empire Cinemas.
