Oct. 13, 2016: Floral Borders, Brooklyn Botanic Garden

On an early-morning walk through the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, I noticed this border near the lily ponds, planted with a near-riot of different plants. As is usually the case with the Garden, there was a reason beyond decor, as the sign below says: demonstrating the adaptation of each to its “micro-climate.”

And here’s one that was perhaps more enthusiastic than its fellow, as it spreads across the walk. More from the Garden soon!
