Candy Museum to sweeten Dubai tourism

A museum that bills itself as the “world’s first-ever Museum of Candy” will be opening soon in Dubai, where seemingly any sort of attraction is not too much. The museum is promising, among other things, “free-flowing candy…and a pool full of gummy goodness.”

Spread over 15 themed rooms, each dedicated to a different type of candy from candy canes and gummy bears to lollipops, cotton candy, macarons, ice cream, and more, visitor are advised to expect about a 60-90 minute experience. No word on whether that includes recovery time from sugar shock.

Among the more outre experiences on tap are a Cotton Candy Bath and a pool full of Gummy Bears to dive into. Those who can tear themselves away from that can also take part in games, interactive screens, Instagram spots and, yes, the sponsors say, “learn about the history and science of candies.”
