Yes, that's right. In a ceremony yesterday, Carnival held a launching ceremony for the front section of its newest ship, the second in its Vista class.
In order to build the ship faster, the Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri built the front half at its historic 1783 shipyard near Naples while building the rest at its other shipyard in Marghera, near Venice.
The completed front will now be towed to Marghera, where the two will become one. Perhaps by then Carnival will have come up with a name; for the moment it's being referred to as Vista 2.
