China’s highest waterfall has a guilty secret

China’s Yuntai Falls, the nation’s highest, has apparently been getting a little plumbing help from a hidden waterpipe that takes over when nature fails.

The fall, which is twice the height of the Washington Monument, has been a major tourism draw in central China’s Henan province. A recent hiker with a drone posted his video, showing the pipe in action, on social media, drawing world-wide attention.

In a statement from park officials, admitting that they had made a “small enhancement,” to improve the viewing experience. Speaking for the waterfall, the statement continues “Depending on the season, I cannot guarantee that I am in my best condition whenever my friends come to see me.”
