Cirque du Soleil, the no-animal wonder-world circus of acrobats, contortionists and aerialists that delights audiences in multiple shows in Las Vegas and elsewhere has now signed on to create shows onboard MSC cruise ships.
Starting with a new ship, MSC Meraviglia, the line will create a 450-seat dining and show lounge for the Circus. There will be two dinner shows a day, six days a week.
It's not Cirque du Soleil's first time afloat; a number of years ago, Celebrity cruises featured individual acts from Cirque performed as a revue. The shows created by the Quebec-based troupe for MSC will be full productions.
