Copenhagen’s Tivoli to get ‘daredevil’ rides

Tivoli Gardens, one of Copenhagen’s biggest attractions and one of the world’s oldest amusement parks, is slated to get some new rides, one of them a new rollercoaster that the park’s director describes as “wild.”

Susanne Morch Koch told Danish press that “After we closed Vertigo a few years ago, we need something big, wild and fast, and we have begun planning this.” She expects it to open in about two years, and says construction won’t interfere with visitors to the park. All work will be screened off from visitors.

The new rollercoaster is one of three new rides planned for 2026, but they won’t all be as wild as the coaster: “There will be something for the daredevils, and something of the type we call a ‘family experience’.” Koch said.
