Country Boy Brewery, Georgetown, Kentucky

Cougar Bait, Shotgun Wedding, Cliff Jumper, and Halfway Home. I'm not a drinker, but I soon figured out the unusual names are beers created and made by Country Boy Brewing in Georgetown, Kentucky.

I have written about distilleries, wineries, and breweries, even though I don't partake. With a crowd in the taproom, the beer and the food must be good, judging by the mid-afternoon gathering.

Jeff Beagle, Nate Coppage, Evan Coppage, and Daniel "DL" Harrison founded Country Boy Brewing in 2012. The men decided to create minimally processed beer with high-quality natural ingredients.

In 2015 they expanded their brewery into a larger brewhouse - 22,500 square foot production brewery, taproom, and offices. This expansion, with the largest production brewery in the state, allows them to make their top sellers along with several seasonal offerings. The Georgetown facility has a capacity of 1,000 barrels of fermentation space.

The partnership recently opened a location in Lexington as well. The Georgetown and Lexington locations serve sandwiches, wraps, flatbread pizza, wings, salad, and other delicious offerings along with their beer.
